Teacher Management

The Teachers module lets you add teaching staff, assign them to classes and subjects, and give them access to the Teacher Portal where they can mark attendance, assign homework, and manage their classes.

Adding a Teacher

  1. Go to People → Teachers
  2. Click Add Teacher
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    • Full Name
    • Email Address — this is used for their login; use their personal or school email
    • Mobile Number — 10-digit Indian mobile number
  4. Fill in optional fields:
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Qualification (e.g., B.Ed., M.Sc.)
    • Date of Joining
    • Employee ID / Staff Code
    • Department (e.g., Science, Mathematics, Primary)
    • Designation (e.g., PGT, TGT, PRT)
  5. Click Save Teacher
After the teacher is saved, Micron automatically sends a login invitation email to their email address. They can set their password and log into the Teacher Portal.
If the teacher does not receive the invitation email, check their spam folder. You can resend the invitation from the teacher’s profile page by clicking Resend Invite.

Assigning Teachers to Classes

After adding a teacher, assign them as the Class Teacher or as a Subject Teacher:

Making Someone a Class Teacher

  1. Go to Academics → Classes
  2. Click on the class (e.g., Class 5 - Section A)
  3. In the Class Teacher field, select the teacher from the dropdown
  4. Click Save

Assigning a Subject Teacher

  1. Go to Academics → Classes → [Class Name]
  2. Under the Subjects section, find the subject (e.g., Mathematics)
  3. Click Assign Teacher next to the subject
  4. Select the teacher from the list
  5. Click Save
A teacher can be assigned to multiple classes and multiple subjects. The Teacher Portal will show them all their assigned classes and subjects in one place.

Editing Teacher Details

  1. Go to People → Teachers
  2. Click on the teacher’s name
  3. Click Edit
  4. Update the required fields
  5. Click Save

Teacher Profile

Each teacher profile shows:
  • Personal and professional details
  • Assigned classes and subjects
  • Leave balance (if HR & Payroll module is configured)
  • Salary details (only visible to HR Manager / School Admin)
  • Attendance record

Deactivating a Teacher

If a teacher has left the school:
  1. Open the teacher’s profile
  2. Click Deactivate
  3. Confirm
Their account is disabled — they can no longer log into the Teacher Portal. All records (attendance, homework, etc.) they created are preserved.

Teacher Portal Access

Once a teacher has set their password via the invitation email, they can log in at micronerp.com using their email and password. In the Teacher Portal, they can:
  • Mark daily attendance for their assigned classes
  • Assign and review homework
  • View their class timetable
  • Enter exam marks
  • View student profiles for their assigned classes
  • Apply for leave

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a teacher log into the main School Admin dashboard? No. Teachers log in to the Teacher Portal, which shows only their assigned classes and relevant tools. School-level settings and financial data are not visible to teachers. How do I reset a teacher’s password? Go to the teacher’s profile and click Reset Password. This sends a password reset link to their registered email. Can a teacher be both a Class Teacher and a Subject Teacher in different classes? Yes. A teacher can be the class teacher for one section and a subject teacher in multiple other classes simultaneously.
