Teacher Portal Guide

The Teacher Portal is your dedicated workspace in Micron ERP. From here you can mark attendance, assign homework, enter exam marks, view your timetable, and manage your classes — without needing access to the school admin’s full dashboard.

Getting Started

Receiving Your Invitation

When your School Admin adds you to Micron, you will receive an invitation email from Micron ERP. This email contains a link to set your password.
  1. Click the link in the invitation email (it is valid for 48 hours)
  2. Set a password of your choice (minimum 8 characters)
  3. You are now registered and can log in at any time
If you did not receive the invitation email, check your spam/junk folder. If it is not there, ask your School Admin to resend the invitation from your teacher profile page.

Logging In

  1. Go to micronerp.com
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. You will land on the Teacher Portal dashboard
The Teacher Portal looks different from the admin view — you will only see modules relevant to your role.

Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard shows:
  • Today’s Classes — your schedule for today based on the timetable
  • Pending Homework — homework you have posted with upcoming due dates
  • Leave Balance — your available leave days
  • Notifications — recent activity relevant to you (leave approval, circulars, etc.)

Attendance

Marking Attendance

  1. Click Attendance in the sidebar
  2. Select the Class you want to mark (only your assigned classes appear)
  3. Select the Section (if the class has multiple sections)
  4. Select the Date — defaults to today
  5. The student list for that class loads:
    • Tap/click each student to toggle their status: Present → Absent → Late → Leave
    • All students default to Present — change only those who are absent or late
  6. Click Save Attendance
Mark attendance early in the day. Parents of absent students receive an automatic notification as soon as attendance is saved (if the school has enabled this). There is no need to mark attendance again unless you need to correct a mistake.

Correcting Attendance

Made a mistake? Navigate back to the date using the date picker, make corrections, and save again. Your latest save overwrites the previous record.

Viewing Attendance History

Click Attendance → Reports to see attendance records for your class over a date range. You can see which students have low attendance and may need follow-up.

Homework

Assigning Homework

  1. Click Homework in the sidebar
  2. Click Assign Homework
  3. Fill in:
    • Class and Section
    • Subject — only subjects assigned to you appear
    • Title and Description
    • Due Date
    • Attachment (optional — PDF, image, or document up to 10 MB)
  4. Click Post Homework
The homework is immediately visible to parents of students in that class through their Parent Portal.

Managing Homework

  • View all homework you have posted under Homework → My Posts
  • Click any entry to edit the description, change the due date, or delete it
  • Click Completion Status to see how many parents have marked the homework as done

Timetable

Viewing Your Timetable

  1. Click Timetable in the sidebar
  2. Your personal weekly timetable is shown — all periods across all days
  3. Each slot shows: Subject, Class, Section, and Time
This is a read-only view. Timetable changes are made by the School Admin in Academics → Timetable.

Today’s Schedule

The dashboard shows a condensed version of today’s periods so you can plan your day at a glance.

Exams & Marks

Entering Exam Marks

When the School Admin has scheduled an exam and assigned it to your subject:
  1. Click Exams in the sidebar
  2. You see a list of upcoming and past exams for your subjects
  3. Click Enter Marks next to the relevant exam and subject
  4. A list of all students in that class appears
  5. Enter each student’s score in the marks column
  6. For students who were absent during the exam, enter AB
  7. Click Save Marks
Double-check marks before saving. While corrections are possible, erroneous marks that reach parents (after the admin publishes results) can cause confusion. Review your entries carefully.

Viewing Results

After marks are saved, you can view the results table:
  1. Go to Exams → [Exam Name]
  2. Click View Results
  3. See all students’ marks, averages, highest and lowest scores

Student Profiles

You can view (but not edit) the profiles of students in your assigned classes:
  1. Go to Students in the sidebar (shows only your assigned classes)
  2. Click a student’s name
  3. View their: personal details, attendance summary, fee status (read-only), exam results
You cannot see fee details or personal financial information beyond what is needed for your role.

Leave Management

Applying for Leave

  1. Click Leave in the sidebar
  2. Click Apply Leave
  3. Fill in:
    • Leave Type (Casual, Medical, etc. — as configured by your school)
    • From Date and To Date
    • Reason (required)
    • Attachment (optional — e.g., medical certificate)
  4. Click Submit
Your leave request goes to the School Admin or HR Manager for approval. You will be notified via email once it is approved or rejected.

Viewing Leave History and Balance

  • Leave Balance — see how many days remain for each leave type under Leave → Balance
  • My Leave Requests — see all your past requests and their status (Pending, Approved, Rejected)

Circulars and Notices

Reading School Circulars

Go to Notices in the sidebar to see all circulars published by the school admin. Circulars directed to Only Teachers appear here too (they are not visible to parents).

Account Settings

Changing Your Password

  1. Click your name or avatar at the top right
  2. Click Account Settings
  3. Go to Change Password
  4. Enter your current password, the new password, and confirm
  5. Save

Updating Profile Details

You can update your display name and profile photo. For changes to your email, phone, or designation, ask the School Admin to update your records in the admin panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

I can only see some of my classes in attendance. Why? Only classes where you are assigned as the Class Teacher or Subject Teacher are visible. Ask your School Admin to check and update your class assignments in Academics → Classes. Can I see fee information for students? You can see whether a student has a pending fee balance (shown as a flag on their profile), but you cannot see invoice details or payment history. Full fee information is restricted to School Admins and Accountants. What do I do if I disagree with a rejected leave request? Leave approval decisions are made by your School Admin or HR Manager. Reach out to them directly. You can also re-apply with additional context or documentation. Can I message parents directly through Micron? Not directly through the messaging system. For parent communication, ask the School Admin to publish a circular or contact parents via the school’s official channels. I forgot my password. How do I reset it? Click Forgot Password on the login page. Enter your registered email address. You will receive a password reset link within a few minutes.
