Parent Portal Guide

The Parent Portal gives you a real-time window into your child’s school life — attendance, fees, homework, exam results, and school announcements — all in one place, accessible from any phone or computer.

Getting Started

How to Log In

  1. Open micronerp.com in your browser (on mobile or desktop)
  2. Enter your registered mobile number or email address
  3. Click Send OTP (if using mobile) or enter your password (if you have set one)
  4. Enter the OTP received on your mobile
  5. You are now logged in to the Parent Portal
Your mobile number and email address are registered by the school when your child is enrolled. If you cannot log in, contact your school’s office to confirm the number they have on record.

Setting a Password

On first login via OTP, you will be prompted to set a permanent password. This is optional but recommended for quicker access in the future.
  1. After logging in, go to Account → Change Password
  2. Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters)
  3. Confirm and save
You can then log in using your email/phone and password directly, without needing an OTP every time.

Switching Between Children

If you have more than one child at the same school:
  1. Look for the child selector at the top of the portal (shows your child’s name and class)
  2. Click it to see a dropdown of all your children linked to your account
  3. Select the child you want to view
All information on the portal — attendance, fees, homework — switches to the selected child.

Attendance

Viewing Daily Attendance

  1. Go to Attendance in the bottom navigation (mobile) or left sidebar (desktop)
  2. The current month’s calendar is shown
  3. Each day is colour-coded:
    • Green = Present
    • Red = Absent
    • Yellow = Late
    • Blue = Leave
    • Grey = Holiday or No School
  4. The summary at the top shows: Present Days, Absent Days, and Attendance %

Checking a Specific Month

Use the ← → arrows to navigate to previous months and check your child’s historical attendance.

Absence Notifications

If your child is marked absent on any day, you will receive an automatic SMS and/or email notification (if enabled by the school). You do not need to check the portal every day — you will be alerted if something requires attention.

Fees

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to Fees in the navigation
  2. You see a list of all fee invoices — current and past
  3. Each invoice shows:
    • Invoice number and month/period
    • Total amount and amount paid
    • Due date
    • Status: Unpaid, Partially Paid, Paid, Overdue

Paying Fees Online

If your school has enabled online payments via Razorpay:
  1. Find the invoice you want to pay
  2. Click Pay Now
  3. You are taken to a secure payment page
  4. Pay using UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card
  5. On successful payment, the invoice is marked as Paid and a receipt is sent to your email
UPI payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) are the quickest and easiest option. Most parents complete payment in under a minute.

Downloading Fee Receipts

For paid invoices:
  1. Click on the invoice
  2. Click Download Receipt (PDF)
  3. The receipt opens as a PDF — save it or print it
Receipts include your school name, invoice number, student name, fee heads, amount paid, and payment date.

Homework

Viewing Assigned Homework

  1. Go to Homework in the navigation
  2. Homework is listed by date, newest first
  3. Each entry shows:
    • Subject and class
    • Title and description
    • Due date
    • Any attached files (tap to download)

Upcoming vs. Overdue Homework

  • Upcoming homework (due date in the future) is shown with a normal style
  • Overdue homework (past due date) is highlighted in orange/red
  • Completed homework is shown with a green checkmark

Marking Homework as Completed

Once your child has finished the homework:
  1. Open the homework entry
  2. Tap Mark as Completed
  3. The teacher can see this status in the Teacher Portal

Exam Results

Viewing Results

  1. Go to Results in the navigation
  2. Select the exam term (e.g., Half Yearly, Annual)
  3. See your child’s marks for each subject
  4. The overall percentage and grade are shown at the top

Downloading the Report Card

Once the school publishes results:
  1. Go to Results → [Exam Name]
  2. Tap Download Report Card (PDF)
  3. The report card PDF downloads to your device
Results and report cards are only visible after the school officially publishes them. If you cannot see results yet, the school has not released them. Contact the school office for an update.

School Circulars

Reading Circulars

  1. Go to Circulars (or Notices) in the navigation
  2. All announcements from the school are listed, newest first
  3. Tap any circular to read the full text
  4. If the circular has an attachment, tap Download to save the PDF

Notification for New Circulars

When the school publishes a new circular, you will receive a notification (in-app, SMS, or email — depending on what the school has enabled). A red badge on the Circulars icon indicates unread notices.

Transport

If your child uses the school bus, you can view transport details under Transport:
  • Route name and vehicle number
  • Driver’s name and contact number
  • Your child’s stop name
  • Morning pickup time and afternoon drop time

Timetable

View your child’s weekly class timetable:
  1. Go to Timetable in the navigation
  2. See the full weekly schedule — subject and period times for each day
  3. Useful for knowing which textbooks to pack each day

Account Settings

Updating Your Contact Details

Contact the school office to update your registered mobile number or email. Since these are used for login and notifications, only School Admins can modify them.

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Account (top right avatar or bottom right on mobile)
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password and the new password
  4. Save

Logging Out

Tap Account → Logout to sign out. Your data remains secure.

Frequently Asked Questions

I cannot log in. What do I do? Check that you are using the mobile number or email the school has registered for you. Try the Forgot Password option or request an OTP. If still unable to log in, call the school office and ask them to verify or update your contact details in Micron. I can see only one child but I have two children at this school. Your accounts may be set up separately. Ask the school office to link both children to the same parent account. Once linked, you will see both children in the child selector. Can I pay fees in installments? The payment options depend on the fee structure your school has set up. If the school has created installment-based invoices, you will see multiple invoices for different periods. Contact your school for details about their installment policy. Is my payment information secure? Yes. Micron does not store your card or bank details. All payments go through Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS certified and used by millions of Indian businesses.
