Quick Start Guide

Follow these steps to set up Micron ERP for your school. Most schools complete the initial setup in under 30 minutes.

Step 1: Register Your School

Go to micronerp.com/register and create your School Admin account.
Use your official school email address. You will receive a verification email — click the link inside it before trying to log in.

Step 2: Complete Onboarding

After verifying your email, you will be guided through the onboarding wizard:
  1. Enter your school name, board (CBSE / ICSE / State Board), and full address
  2. Set your academic year start and end dates (e.g., 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026)
  3. Choose your subscription plan — you get a free 1-month trial on all plans, no payment required upfront

Step 3: Add Classes and Sections

Go to Academics → Classes and create your class structure.
  • Add each class (e.g., Class 1, Class 2 … Class 12)
  • Under each class, add sections if needed (A, B, C)
  • Add the subjects taught in each class
Set up all classes before adding students. Students are linked to a class and section during import or manual entry.

Step 4: Add Students

Navigate to People → Students → Add Student. Fill in:
  • Full name, Admission Number, Roll Number
  • Class and Section
  • Date of Birth and gender
  • Parent / Guardian name and mobile number
Use Import CSV to bulk-add hundreds of students at once. Download the template from the Students page, fill it in Excel or Google Sheets, then upload it.

Step 5: Add Teachers

Go to People → Teachers → Add Teacher. Enter the teacher’s name, email, and mobile number. Teachers will receive a login invitation email to access the Teacher Portal. After adding teachers, assign them to classes and subjects from Academics → Classes.

Step 6: Set Up Fee Structures

Navigate to Finance → Fee Management → Fee Structures and create your fee structure:
  1. Click New Fee Structure
  2. Select the class it applies to
  3. Add fee heads (e.g., Tuition Fee, Activity Fee, Transport Fee) with their amounts
  4. Set the frequency — Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly, or Annually
Once your fee structure is ready, use Generate Invoices to create invoices for all students in that class.

Step 7: Invite Other Admins (Optional)

If you have an accountant, librarian, or HR manager, go to Settings → Staff Accounts and invite them with the appropriate role. They will only see the modules relevant to their role.

You’re ready!
